Join us as we meet in Milam Park to protest Reproductive Rights and demand our freedom to be pro-choice! We will also be having an optional action event afterwards, blockwalking for "Vote for a Better Texas."
At 10AM we will have candidates, organizations, and activists on stage that will give informative speeches about the issues around anti-abortion laws, Roe v Wade possibly getting overturned, as well as the importance of making voting accessible in Texas. Our goal is to get out there and get people voting, following in the footsteps of the empowering work that Stacey Abrams has done in Georgia. If she could do it there, we can do it here in Texas!
An organizer will be training on site on how to blockwalk for voters for those who want to take action NOW.
Since the enactment of SB8 in Texas on September 1, 2021, millions of people across Texas are not able to choose what they can do to their bodies. What is more American than granting people the freedom of choice for their own bodies? There is a likely chance that Roe v Wade will be overturned and we absolutely can not let that happen.
Stand in solidarity with us across the nation, where we will meet in Milam Park and march to support our reproductive rights and the freedom we should be granted. No one should have control over our bodies, especially the ones in government who do not have reproductive organs.
