Washington County Title X Letter Writing
CALLING ALL WASHINGTON COUNTY ACTIVISTS!
The Trump-Pence administration is looking to eliminate affordable birth control for low-income, marginalized communities. We’re fighting back and we need YOU! Did you know 10,000 Vermonters depend on Title X funding to access affordable health care at Planned Parenthood Health Centers across the state? On August 19, Washington County activists are hosting a letter-writing event at the Montpelier Unitarian Church from 5:30-7:30 p..m. Drop by when you can to write your letter to Senator Patrick Leahy to thank him for his vocal support of a Congress attempt to add a "Title X Protection" in the government's spending bill. Volunteers can also elect to write letters to the editor to help educate our fellow Vermonters on this critical issue.
Planned Parenthood staff will be there to provide education and support to attendees while crafting their letters. Food will be provided!
Activists are working to collect 100 letters on August 19; please spread the word to family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and other activists to help Washington County reach their goal!
